Expedited Hearing Pilot Project

The expedited hearing pilot project is part of the Tribunal’s commitment to more efficient and simpler ways of resolving complaints, such as telephone mediation and settlement conferences.

The pilot project seeks to shorten the time required for hearings and written decisions by providing more expeditious adjudication of less complex cases.

The respondent or complainant may request an expedited hearing or the Tribunal may send a Notice of Expedited Hearing if it believes the case may be suitable for an expedited hearing. At a prehearing conference, the process will be explained further and specific terms applicable to the hearing will be discussed if the parties proceed by way of an expedited process.

You are invited to explore this option by reviewing the Terms of the Expedited Hearing.
